Deviled eggs


Deviled eggs!! One snack my elder daughter can never get enough of. 😃😃😃 The first time I had a taste of them was at a potluck. My friend Prem brought them and it was an instant hit amongst us friends. I have been meaning to try them and it came out perfectly well. 

We all know eggs are a rich source of protein. Irrespective of the age, anybody can have them, infact must have them. The sourness of lemon adds to the taste. It is a perfect snack for after school. 

Preparation time: 10 mins
Cooking time: 10 mins

Ingredients: 

Eggs: 4, boiled
Mustard sauce: 1 tsp
Mayonnaise: 1 tsp
Lemon juice: 2 tbsp
Black pepper powder: 1 tbsp
Onions: 1, medium size, finely chopped
Coriander leaves: finely chopped for garnishing
Salt: According to taste

Method:

  1. Boil the eggs for 8-10 minutes. Throw away the hot water, add some cold water and let it sit for 5 minutes.

  2. Remove the shell and cut the eggs in halves.
  3. Separate the egg yolks in a bowl.
  4. Add all the above mentioned ingredients and mix well.
  5. Now use a spoon or a piping bag and fill the eggs with the mixture. 
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
