Mint chutney



A chutney that can be used with rice, dosas and idlis. And which can also be used as a dip with pakodas. It requires very minimum of ingredients and is also very healthy. Kids who do not like to eat greens will love this. It can be refrigerated for 10-15 days.


Recipe:

Ingredients:

Mint leaves: 1 bunch/ 100 grams
Red chilies: 6
Tamarind: Lemon size
Coriander seeds: 1 tsp
Sugar: 1 tsp
Salt: According to taste

Procedure:
  1. Wash the pudina leaves. Take them out of water and keep them aside.
  2. Heat a pan, add oil, and add red chilies, coriander seeds. 
  3. Upon frying, remove them from oil and let it cool.


  4. Now add some oil and fry the pudina leaves. 


  5. Now in a blender, first blend the chilies and coriander seeds.

  6.  And then add mint leaves, tamarind juice, sugar and salt. 

  7. Blend it to a fine paste and serve with hot steamed rice.
