Rose pistachio cake


In this lock down, one thing we have all done at homes is baking. Now that we have graduated from regular vanilla and chocolate cakes, let's try out with some more things available at home. Rose petals and pistachios. Initially I was skeptical how rose petals will turn out in the cake, but to my surprise, the cake tastes yummy and we also the nutrition of pistachios. 

Let's get down to the process of making the cake.

Ingredients:

All purpose flour- 1 cup

Sugar- 1 cup

Eggs- 3

Vanilla essence- 1 tsp

Oil- 100 ml

Milk- 100 ml

Baking powder- 1 tsp

Baking soda- 1/2 tsp

Pistachios- 1+ 1/2 tbsp

Rose petals- 1+1/2 tbsp


Method: 


  1. Blend eggs, sugar and vanilla essence together. Keep aside.


  2. Mix all the other ingredients along with the blended one.

  3. Grease a baking tin, place a butter paper, brush some butter and pour the cake batter.
  4. Tap the tin to remove air bubbles. Sprinkle some more pistachios.
  5. Pre-heat the oven and bake the cake at 180 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
  6. Let it cool, cut n serve.
