Ajwain ke patton ke pakode
The first time my Mom told me about this, I was like, Ehhh? ajwain k patte?? aur usse pakode???? Oh my god!! But when I tasted them, I was amazed. So flavourful!!! Full of taste. Please do try them.
Carom leaves/ Ajwain ke patte- 10
Besan- 1 cup
Salt accordingly
Baking soda- a pinch
Red chili powder- 1 tsp
Water accordingly
Method:
- Pluck the carom leaves from your garden, wash and wipe them clean.
- In a bowl, mix besan, salt, red chili powder, soda with required water. The batter should be semi thick.
- Heat oil in pan.
- Dip the leaves in besan batter one by one and deep fry them.
- Serve hot with tomato sauce by sprinkling some chaat powder on them.
