Ajwain ke patton ke pakode

The first time my Mom told me about this, I was like, Ehhh? ajwain k patte?? aur usse pakode???? Oh my god!! But when I tasted them, I was amazed. So flavourful!!! Full of taste. Please do try them.

Ingredients:

Carom leaves/ Ajwain ke patte- 10
Besan- 1 cup
Salt accordingly
Baking soda- a pinch
Red chili powder- 1 tsp
Water accordingly
Method:
  1. Pluck the carom leaves from your garden, wash and wipe them clean.
  2. In a bowl, mix besan, salt, red chili powder, soda with required water. The batter should be semi thick.
  3. Heat oil in pan.
  4. Dip the leaves in besan batter one by one and deep fry them.
  5. Serve hot with tomato sauce by sprinkling some chaat powder on them.
