Mutton curry

Who doesn't like a bowl full of mutton curry on a lazy day or any given day? Packed full of proteins and yumminess, this is lip-smacking for sure. Very easy to make and not too time taking. Just prepare the masala before hand, chop some onions and wash the mutton pieces good and keep it aside. You will have the mutton curry prepared in 30 minutes.

Let's start.

Ingredients:

Mutton- 250 gms
Oil- 3 tbsp
Onions- 2, chopped, medium size
Green chilies- 2
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Tomatoes- 1, chopped, small size
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Red chili powder- 3 tbsp
Salt- According to taste
Coriander leaves- 2 tbsp
Water- 250 ml

For masala:

Cloves- 4
Cinnamon sticks- 3
Dhaniya powder- 1 tbsp
Poppy seeds- 1 tbsp
Add water and a make paste

Method:


  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add chopped onions and green chilies.
  3. Saute till the onions turn a little brown and add ginger garlic paste.

  4. Saute till the ginger garlic paste loses its raw smell and turns brown in color, then add choppped tomatoes.

  5. Add mutton pieces.
  6. Add turmeric powder.
  7. Add red chilli powder.
  8. Add salt.
  9. Add masala paste.
  10. Mix well and add water.

  11. Close the lid, put the weight and cook for 6 whistles.
  12. When all the pressure is gone, open the lid, add some chopped coriander leaves and cook till you get the desired consistency.
  13. Serve hot with rice or rotis.
