Coffee bean cookies

 


The aroma of coffee when you bake these cookies at home is so divine, you can't wait until they are out of oven to have them. They are a beauty to the eyes and heavenly to the tongue. Undoubtedly coffee is the hero ingredient here, for all those coffee lovers who can't get enough of their coffee, this is one sure way to have some more.

Let's get started:

Ingredients:

Instant coffee powder: 15 g
Hot milk- 30 g
Butter- 200 g, unsalted, at room temperature
Sugar- 200 g, powdered
Egg yolks- 2
All purpose flour- 250 g
Cocoa powder- 30 g


Method:
  1. Mix coffee powder and hot milk and keep aside.

  2. In a separate bowl take butter and whisk well. 

  3. Add powdered sugar and whisk together. 


  4. Add egg yolks and mix together.

  5. Now add the coffee mix and whisk well. 

  6. In a separate bowl, sieve all  purpose flour and cocoa powder together. 


  7. Now mix all the ingredients( from step 5). 

  8. Refrigerate for 6 hours.

  9. Take out from the refrigerator and roll into oval shapes, taking 1 tbsp of dough for each cookie. 

  10. Grease a baking tray with butter and place the oval shapes onto the tray.
  11. Give a small slit on the oval shapes which ultimately gives them the shape of coffee beans.

  12. Pre- heat the oven and bake for 12 minutes.

  13. Let them cool and enjoy with your coffee or just like that. 
Wisdom notes:
  • Refrigerating the dough is mandatory, otherwise cookies tend to spread in the oven.
